Responsive design is no longer about three breakpoints and a hamburger menu. With foldables, ultrawides, and everything in between, layouts need to flex instead of snap.
Fluid by default
Modern CSS — clamp, container queries, and intrinsic sizing — lets components respond to the space they’re given rather than the viewport. The result is fewer breakpoints and fewer surprises.
Designing the in-between states
The interesting bugs live between breakpoints. Spend time on the awkward middle widths; that’s where users on tablets and split-screen laptops actually read your work.
This is a demo blog post.
